About My Incredible World
The My Incredible World Story
My Incredible World is a family-owned children’s book company created by husband-and-wife team Bill and Hope Aicher in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area.
Our story began with one very specific request. Our youngest son, who has special needs after experiencing multiple strokes and infantile spasms as a baby, wanted a book about roosters. We searched for one that felt clear, engaging, and high quality, but could not find exactly what we hoped for.
So we made one ourselves.
Then we made another. And another. Before long, other kids, families, teachers, homeschoolers, and nature-loving readers were discovering them too.
Today, My Incredible World has grown into a collection of more than 400 animal and nature photo books for kids, with over 100,000 books sold worldwide since 2018. Every book is designed to help young readers explore the natural world through real photography, simple facts, and topics that spark curiosity.
Our books cover animals, birds, bugs, plants, weather, landforms, national parks, seasons, fruits, vegetables, and many other incredible parts of the world around us. Some children come for a favorite animal. Others come because they are fascinated by nature. Some simply love discovering new things.
That is what keeps us creating.
We believe children deserve nonfiction books that are beautiful, accessible, and genuinely interesting. We also believe curiosity is one of the best ways to build appreciation for the world around us. When kids learn about animals, plants, habitats, and natural wonders, they begin to see nature as something worth noticing, understanding, and protecting.
